StatBar

StatBar

Say hello to my new mod, StatBar! This mod lets you hide specific parts of the status bar, or even the entire status bar!

Note: If you hide the carrier name, it will also hide the cellular bars. I did try & hide just the carrier name, but no luck.

I would also like to say thanks to @itechhyper, & @mattycbtw, for their help with my new mod. Without their help, this mod would not exist.

Note: If you try to hide the time, and you have a sim card (including esim) installed, the time in your status bar will be replaced with your carrier name. I don't know why, so don't ask why.

To uninstall the mod, before you open the iOS 15 or 16 folder, there will a folder called *REVERSE*, which sets your status bar back to normal. When selecting a folder in iBackupBot, select the *REVERSE* folder.

Instructions:

Step 1:

On your Windows PC, install iBackupBot and iTunes (if iTunes is not already installed).

Note that iTunes must be downloaded directly from Apple's website. If you installed it via the Microsoft Store, semi-restores may not work. In that case, uninstall iTunes and reinstall it from Apple's website.

Step 2:

Open the StatBar folder after unzipping the zip file, selecting the iOS version your device is running, and then opening the .txt file inside. *Each mod's name is listed in the text file along with a brief explanation of what it does.* Go to step 3 after selecting the mod you want to install.

Step 3:

Before installing the mod, switch off iCloud Backup and Find My on your device. You can re-enable these settings after you install the mod.

Open iBackupBot, click the folder icon, then select the iOS 15 or 16 folder (depending on your iOS version), then select the folder with the mod you want. Double-click on the backup under the backups section, click System Files, then search for 'statusbaroverrides,' then restore the file to your device.

To uninstall the mod, before you open the iOS 15 or 16 folder, there will a folder called *REVERSE*, which sets your status bar back to normal. When selecting a folder in iBackupBot, select the *REVERSE* folder.

On your device, it will display "Restore in Progress." After the device reboots, you'll encounter the setup screen. Simply setup your device, and when you reach the "Apps & Data" page with the "do not transfer data" option, select it and continue following the remaining steps.
