CC Module++

CC Module++

I now provide you my latest "updated" modification for the control centre. With this modification, you can reposition ANY module however you see fit.

- Need help following the written instructions? Watch the video tutorial -> CLICK ME, while doing the written instructions.

- According to individuals who have tested my mod, only iOS 16 appears to let you move the Focus module. iOS 15 contains 2 *do not disturb* modules, however iOS 16 only has one. While iOS 16 has just the Focus module, iOS 15 has a do not disturb module and the Focus module. I've attempted to edit the iOS 15 files just like I did with iOS 16, but I haven't had any luck with moving the module.

- With help from a friend @itstrant on Twitter, I also discovered that you cannot remove the blank space at the top of the control center. This blank space sadly cannot be removed.

- If ANY of the modules besides the silent/mute module are removed, they cannot be moved again, unless you re-apply the mod.

- The control centre won't be reset by updating to a newer OS version. In settings, go to the control center settings, then remove the modules without any icons. After this, your control center will be back to normal.

Sept 12, 2023:
- Apple has broken my control center mod with iOS 17.0 RC and higher. (yay, /s) If your device is on iOS 17.0 beta 8 and lower, the cc mod should still work. As for the users on iOS 17.0 RC and higher, the screen mirroring module is now stuck in a spot and won't move. Despite numerous attempts to relocate the module, it remains stuck in place.

- Another issue: Apple has also destroyed the silent / mute module on iOS 17.0 RC and higher. Attempting to use it to mute your device is now dysfunctional.

April 6, 2023:
- GOOD NEWS! You can apply my control center mod on iOS 15.0 - 16.5! Recently, a user on Twitter, told me that my cc mod did not work on iOS 16.3+, so that's why I said on the website that it didn't work, but it turns out, it actually does. So, YAY! Also, since many users are NOT interested in enabling the feedback assistant cc module / app, I removed the file in the backup.

- GOOD NEWS! You can now apply my control center mod on iOS 15.0 - 16.5! Recently, a user on Twitter pointed out that my CC mod didn’t seem to work on iOS 16.3+, which is why I had previously stated on the website that it was broken. But it turns out—it actually does work! So, YAY! Also, since many users aren’t interested in enabling the Feedback Assistant control center module / app, I’ve removed that file from the backup.

Instructions:

Step 1:

On your Windows PC, install iBackupBot and iTunes (if iTunes is not already installed).

Note that iTunes must be downloaded directly from Apple's website. If you installed it via the Microsoft Store, semi-restores may not work. In that case, uninstall iTunes and reinstall it from Apple's website.

Step 2:

Download the CC Module++ backup from the link above, open the zip file in your downloads folder, and then drag the CC Module++ folder to your desktop.

Step 3:

Before installing the mod, switch off iCloud Backup and Find My on your device. You can re-enable these settings after you install the mod.

Open iBackupBot and click the folder icon and select the 'CC Module++' backup. Under the 'Backups' section, double-click it, and select 'System Files.' Search for '.plist,' then select ModuleConfiguration.plist, com.apple.control-center.MuteModule.plist, and com.apple.FocusUIModule, right-click on those files, then restore the files to your device.

On your device, it will display "Restore in Progress." After the device reboots, you'll encounter the setup screen. Simply setup your device, and when you reach the "Apps & Data" page with the "do not transfer data" option, select it and continue following the remaining steps.
